Because
Jeffry has very high quality paper and canvas “Giclée” reproductions made of his work, a model can receive a free
limited edition of themselves if Jeffry can use them in one of his own painting ideas. The size will be the same as what is available to the public after printing and Jeffry usually keeps the
original, selling only reproductions. Originals would normally sell in the thousands taking 100 - 200 hours to complete,
so this is a good option for all.
By doing
this, the model also gets to be part of a very elaborate painting, not just a “standard portrait”! In fact, the backgrounds usually take much longer then the subject themselves because of the preparation,
detail, and realism.
Also, since
Jeffry’s paintings take a very long time to complete, he works from photos and video with quick sketches from life.
Therefore, the model is not required to pose for a hundred hours or more while painting (he often works at 4 am. as well!).
Below you will see examples of previous models during photos shoots for paintings. In
most cases, the shoots usually take less then an hour and locations depend on the composition.
If interested
in being in one of Jeffry's original compositions, just mail, (or e-mail) a recent still full-body photo, and 1 closer portrait
shot. They DO NOT have to be "photo studio" quality! He actually prefers simple natural shots as seen
below under "model still examples". And, do not worry, these are beautiful paintings (not photos) being produced and
the subject will always look their best!
Jeffry
will consider your image for an existing composition, and he will send you possible compositions. You can discuss what
you are interested in doing, and what you are not. There is no obligation and there are many ideas to chose from!
If a common interest is met, a time and date for the shoot will be made. (Please serious inquiries only!)
Commissioned Portraits
Time permitting,
Jeffry can be also be commissioned to paint simple portraits for those interested. He will usually paint with a
slightly impressionistic style in order to keep the cost and time involved reasonable for the subject (or purchaser). This, along with price range and size, will be discussed with the client beforehand.
If interested
in commissioning a custom portrait of yourself, please include a recent close-up as well since he can plan for the best composition
for you. Jeffry does his best to make each portrait personal and unique in some way.
