Although I consider myself a "painter" by trade, like many artists today I do find photography quite helpful as an additional reference resource.  However, it can, and often does, lead the artist in the wrong direction if the artist is not aware of its "proper" use.  But, when used correctly, it can be very valuable in cases where painting from life is literally impossible, or just plain impractical.

Since I also possess an appreciation for "artistic photography", this medium simply provides me with another vehicle for artistic expression; sometimes in ways that painting or drawing cannot.  With these images, I hope to remind us all of the beauty found in the human figure, the beauty found in nature, and how the two might coexist. Unfortunately, the images here are not for sale.  But, those with a discriminating eye, may recognize some of the models in past or future paintings?
